Infinity Blade 2: Skycages (Walkthrough and Help)

Infinity Blade Walkthroughs and Help: Infinity Blade:The Deathless King I Infinity Blade 2: The Vault of Tears I Trailer for Infinity Balde: Dungeons
Is that a lightsaber!?
Sky Cages (maybe Skycages, not sure) is the 3rd and (apparently) finale update to Infinity Blade 2. Before the end of the year, Infinity Blade Dungeons, a prequel to the series thus far, will be released. And Infinity Blade 3 will likely be released next year.

First off, Sky Cages adds tons of new weapons, shields, rings, helmets and armor. These are awesome, but no where near as awesome as some of the other new features released in Sky Cages.

Solar Weapons.
Solar Weapons are basically light sabers (like in the picture above). They look like light sabers, they work pretty much like light sabers, and they are awesome. They are also un-God Kingly expensive.
One million gold each. There are three to choose from, one light, one heavy, and one dual. I recommend dual, because dual weapons are awesome to start with, and dual light sabers just adds to it.

Looking at the pure stats on the weapons, they don't seem all that impressive, especially compared to the price. But add an elemental gem (like Fire, Water, Poison, etc.) and it's power is multiplied by 10. And, the light saber/solar weapon changes color (orange for fire, green for poison, blue for water, etc.)

So even relatively weak elemental gems can make the sword/light saber very powerful, and strong gems make it pretty much face meltingly awesome.

The first thing to do in this update is to save up (probably for a long time, or just buy gold with real cash, if you're into that) and buy one of the solar weapons. You basically can't get any further in this content update without one of them in your arsenal.

The Sky Cages.
So the Sky Cages are the namesake of this update, therefore they should be really awesome. They are cages, large enough to hold a person (and thats it) that hand out over the side of the tower.
Basically, to be trapped in one would be incredibly scary.

But sense the evil Deathless have these people trapped, they must be your allies right? The enemy of my enemy is my friend and all? So of course, you must find these cages and free whoever is in them.
Finding the Sky Cages can be a little tricky, as they're in a seemingly random place.

The Skycages (Sky Cages? I should really look that up)
Remember the room where your options are to go to the top of the tower, or to go to the hanger (big open room) where you battle the guy in the huge robot dog thing? Choose the door in that room that leads to the top of the tower (the door on the right). Now, instead of going to the top of the tower, you will be in a new room, with two doors. The one that is open leads to the top of the tower, as usual. The other one is locked, and needs a large key to open. So save up and buy a large key, and then open this door.

Then you're in the room with the Sky Cages. There are three of them. Before you can go to any of them you will need to defeat the guard, but he's not too tough, though he is huge.
The guard tells you the people trapped in the cages are "the most vile of creatures" and are basically really evil and bad. Then he tries to kill you.
If and when you beat him, you have your choice of Skycages. Each requires a different (seemingly random) weapon to bring the cage inside and unlock it. The first time you are there, you may not have any of them (they each cost 600,000 gold I think. Maybe 500,000). So during your first visit, be sure to check each door and see which weapons you need to get, so you can work on acquiring them.

When you do eventually open each Skycage, you are presented with someone or something that was inside each. I won't spoil anything about what happens with each of them, but when you get the chance to spare one or more of them, do so. DO NOT KILL THEM IF GIVEN THE OPTION TO NOT TO. That is important. Remember it.

When you spare a certain one of them, they will great you at the beginning of your next rebirth, and present you with the most ridiculously large weapon ever, as a gift for sparing them.
(It looks an awful lot like the huge weapon featured in the upcoming Infinity Blade Dungeons… Foreshadowing???)

Ryth and the Spaceship.
At the beginning of your first rebirth after getting one of the solar weapons, you see a mysterious flying spaceship zoom past your head and land somewhere in the castle.
That's right, a freaking spaceship. Awesome, right?
Ryth (in black) and his spaceship in the background.
To speed things up, I'll just tell you where it landed. The Hanger. The big room where you previously fought the guy in the big robotic monster dog thing.
Go there, and you will see the spaceship landed, and a mysterious dark figure in front of it.
When you speak to him, you learn he is a Deathless named Ryth, who hasn't had a good foe in centuries. And he hears you are a pretty good fighter.

He also has dual solar weapons, and is so amazingly strong. He is probably the toughest enemy in Infinity Blade 1 or 2 yet.
Eventually, you will kill him. I recommend using some potion that allows you to regain health during battle (like the +10 every second or +100 every second ones, or both together).

End.

  1. Does the entrance to the Sky Cages require another Large Key when you get there the second or third or fourth time around? Or it's permanently accessible once opened?

    1. I was worried about that too, but it is permanently accessible once opened.

    2. Thank you Logan. I started saving my Large Keys in fear of that concern while passing up on all of the lockboxes that required LK's. Now I won't have to. He, he.
One more thing, do I have a shot at choosing another sky cage in my 2nd time around or is that one of those there's no turning back thing after you made your first pick?

    3. You get the opportunity to open every sky cage.

    4. So, I was shocked to find out that the door to the Sky Cages was closed after I've opened it once. Lol, was there an update in the past few hours? Hmm.

    6. What I am thinking is it resets after you've completed the mission of releasing the masked boss for the pit where Ausar and Raidriar are left all to themselves. Because I am already starting over again.

    7. Thats probably it. Every time you beat the game it probably resets.

    8. Am going to refrain from beating the game coz that's what I've been doing. Game on!

  2. Is there a certain level I need to be to effectively fight and in what gear to successfully kill any and all of the caged bossess in Skycages?

    1. Well, I would recommend using the Aegis set, the one room with the tomb-thingy where you have to put the weapons in the slots to get to the stuff? That has the aegis armor, which im sure you know. The weapons out of there suck, but the armor is the best, i think. If you have the vile armor/weapon set, that's what i would go for. I currently have both sets, but i use the shield "Kerrak", the one that is the most expensive shield you can buy at the beginning of the game. For weapons, each of the different sky cages requires a different weapon to unlock. The farthest right requires the Widows Shriek, which is 600k. The middle one requires the infinity blade, and the leftmost cage requires the dual blades, "Nobel" also 600k gold. When you go to fight them, i would strongly recommend using any regen-type potions that you have. It will help you. I was lvl 80 when i beat them all. The second time around, i beat them all at lvl 120. ANYWAYS, now for the topping on the cake. Ryth. He is by far the most difficult enemy you will ever face while playing either of the infinity blade games. If your still not that high of a level or on a large rebirth count, then he's usually lvl 1000. For me, he was lvl 2000. Scary, right? Anyways, on top of being a high lvl and doing insane damage and having high health levels, he's immune to almost every element. So, basically youre screwed. Even i still havent beat him. Oh, you need the one of the "solar trans" weapons in order to fight him. he will appear after you rebirth with the weapon equipped. The solar trans weapons are relatively weak, but once you equip an elemental gem... Hoo boy, youre the biggest badass out there. When you add an elemental gem, its effects are increas Tenfold. So if you have a gem with 400 fire damage, the fire damage will be boosted to 4,000! Its wonderful, isnt it?

    1. the only three cages are in the tower leading to Thane.

  4. I wondered about that too. Where's the rest of the sky cages? Maybe the other sky cages visible when the camera pans up to the top are empty hence only three battles to be had.

  6. Hello fri, please tell me if u know HOW TO FIGHT RYTH?

    ReplyDelete
  7. to kill Ryth, he always has one element that he isnt protective of, if he was protected from all he would have the rainbow gem showing. you have to equip a gem (preferably 100+) and go in and keep dieing by him until he matches the gem equiped (I.e. on dual solar, you equip fire +100 keep dieing by him, press last save, repeat) until the gem you have on your weapon is the element he is missing. took me a while to figure out lol. but im killing him and he is level 20,000 right now.

    1. oh, and you HAVE TO HAVE the holy ring... and (even though its not recommended) to have a +135 magic on it because it recharges nearly every break. and because when you mix a chainsaw with a rainbow, you do 1000+ a hit. leaving him fairly easy to anahliate. your welcome people(:
(im killing him at level 50 so shouldnt be hard for you guys, and when u do kill him i strongly suggest you equip what he gives you... trust me its worth it)

  9. Correcting your error. He does not hold dual Solar weapons. He uses a heavy energy weapon. And also. SPOiLER ALERT!!!! The person that you can spare is the person that you duel with the infinity blade. The option to spare him will be given when he is on low health.

    1. I'm guessing he wields whatever type of solar weapon you choose for yourself, because I am 100% certain I battled him with dual weapons.
