Infinity Blade III Announced, Trailer is Epic

At Apple's big iPhone event today, Epic Games announced the final entry in the Infinity Blade trilogy, Infinity Blade III. They didn't announce too much about it, but you will be able to play as one of two different characters, including a female warrior (I'm guessing it's Isa, but that's not verified), and the game will feature both bigger worlds and bigger bosses. That includes a fire breathing dragon. Yay!

There are new and improved graphics of course, being helped out by Apple's new A7 processor and utilizing the 64-bit architecture. The game will feature "lens flares that would make J.J. Abrams proud," according to Epic, and that... that is awesome.

This game looks so, so epic. I was jumping around hugging my computer when I saw the announcement, and that's an incredible amount of emotion for me to show at school, which is normally a dark, emotionless place (except, oddly, for Calculus).

Infinity Blade 3 will be launching in the App Store alongside Apple's newest smartphone, the just-announced iPhone 5s on September 18th for $6.99. It will also be compatible with the iPhone 5c, as well as older devices dating back to the iPhone 4 and iPad 2. To see all the screenshots from the game shown at the conference, check out this gallery from The Verge.

By the by, I'm currently beginning to read the Infinity Blade: Awakening book that takes place between the second and third games. It's really awesome. I might write up a little fanboy review once I'm finished, if I have time in between all the pointless homework I sort of have to do.
