You knows those plans to "kidnap" yourself in order to get money from your family that you always see on TV (Hawaii 5-0, Law and Order), and that never work out? Yeah, three kids thought they'd do that.
And guess what!? It didn't work out. Big surprise there.
Three young Norwegians, two girls 18 and 21, and a man/boy/child-thing, 22, were busted trying to stage their own kidnapping and blackmail their families into giving them money for their own release.
Police wouldn't reveal how much money the trio tried to squeeze out of their relatives, but did say they were left aghast by the plot. "I have never seen anything like it," says the cop in charge of the investigation. If only he watched more Law and Order. Actually, don't do that. It's a bad show.
Maybe a little Hawaii 5-0 once in a while?
