Coach May Be Coming Back to 'New Girl'

After discovering the show and completing the 24-episode first season in the course of four days, I think I can qualify as a New Girl fan.
If you've watched the show as religiously as I have, you'll remember Coach from the pilot, and his immediate replacement by Winston in episode 2. Damon Wayans Jr., the actor who played coach, signed up for New Girl after it looked like his show Happy Endings would get cancelled after its first season. But then it didn't. He needed to go back to Happy Endings because contract, and New Girl was forced to do the quickest character write off ever (though they pulled it off rather well.)

But now Happy Endings is officially dead. Full dead. Completely. For sure this time. 

So now rumors are floating about that Coach could make a return, even if its just a short one. TV Line is reporting that  Coach may be returning to the New Girl loft for a short arc in the show’s third season. 

A deal has yet to be signed, but when has that ever stopped anybody?

I just want to see Coach one more time.
