The Office is Back Right Before It's Gone

The last two seasons of The Office have been very hit and miss. This week's episode, which is also the series' next to last, was easily the best hit in a long while.
While it wasn't the funniest episode of the show ever (though the whole Dwight being his assistant's assistant thing was amazing), it still is one of my favorites because of how emotional it made me. There were emotions all over the room when I was done with that episode, it was just that good.

And another thing struck me about The Office today: it has the only TV-show-couple that I have ever really cared about: Pam and Jim.
I watched an older episode today, one before Jim and Pam were dating, and I was surprised at how annoyed I was that they weren't together. Every time they're near each other I just wanted to scream "be in love!" but they're not yet, and for the first time ever, I actually cared.
I've seen a lot of romances on TV, and most of them I just put up with, I really don't care. Lost's Julia and Sawyer would probably be my second favorite, but that's just because Julia died.
Just look at that picture, they're so perfect. And they're not even real people, and somehow I care. Why!?

I think the fact I'm having all these emotions about fake people shows how powerful The Office is. It's just good. Watch the finale next Thursday with me, and be sad that we're not going to see more Pim and Jam.
