Netflix Is the Biggest 'Cable Network'

As people become more and more efficient at watching lots of TV, Netflix has grown in popularity. Or maybe it's the other way around...

Either way, Netflix customers watched more than 4 billion hours of programming in the first quarter of 2013. That's about 44,444,444.4443 hours a day. With about 28 million, that works out to almost 1.5873015873 hours per user every day.

This comes from Netflix CEO Reed Hastings' Facebook post last night. These numbers could make the streaming service "the most watched cable network, essentially in-line with the Disney Channel," says one analyst.

That 4 billion is way up from the one billion first reported in the second quarter of 2012.
