Rejoice, for motionless one night stands are finally good for something other than temporary emotional gratification! It seems that Homo sapiens managed to have sex with everything until we just won.
Well, it's a little more complicated then that, as everything is with science (cough*Mr. Berning's Chemistry class*cough).
Up until about 40,000 years ago, there was more than one human species on Earth at the same time, including Neandertals and Homo floresiensis. There has always been a lot of debate about how Sapiens came to be the victors as far as living goes, and now we have one more hat to throw into the ring.
Yes, this is from Planet of the Apes. Yes, this is a terrible reference. I'm sorry. |

The long accepted theory is that modern human evolved by migrating aorund the world and somehow out farming or out battling the other human species living there, or even just by having kids faster. But, the old theory also said there was little to no interspecies breeding.
This new theory sort of goes in the opposite direction, saying instead that early humans had sex with everything, therefore absorbing the best of every species into themselves over time (they also likely absorbed the worst, but those ones just died because, well, they sucked).
This idea comes from the use of newer tools being used to study human DNA, and the DNA of extinct human species.
There's a lot more science stuff to talk about here, but I don't want to copy and paste it all, so go check it out at the source below.
This all goes to show that, in science, you can never be completely sure about everything. Except gravity. That's always there. Except in space. And on Jupiter it's different. And in other places.
Okay, yeah, you can't be sure of anything.
