Futurama Canceled Again, Probably for Real This Time

Futurama was cancelled in 2003 after four season on Fox. Due to the popularity of its reruns, Comedy Central made 4 Futurama movies in 2008 and 2009. These movies were divided into 16 episodes, which was called the fifth season. The show was then cancelled.
Due to the popularity of those movies, Comedy Central order a 6th season of 26 episodes, which aired in 2010. No one was sure if it would get a 7th season, so they wrote up an apparently great series finale.
Then it got renewed.
The first half of the 7th season aired in 2012, and the second half is set to air this summer. Now, this is probably going to be the last, final, episodes of Futurama.

Bad news everyone. You would get that joke if you watched Futurama.

Comedy Central announced they don't plan to produce any more future episodes or movies of Futurama.

“I felt like we were already in the bonus round on these last couple of seasons, so I can’t say I was devastated by the news,” said David X. Cohen, producer of the show.

Taking an even more optimistic approach, creator Matt Groening of the Simpsons and also Futurama, added, “It’d be a shame if we all went our separate ways… We would love to continue. We have many more stories to tell.”
Groening seems content, believing Futurama's final completed chapters are “the best ones we’ve ever done” and also having tons of Simpsons money. Like lots. So so much money. Just stop now. Please.

I've watched two seasons of Futurama, and it is a quality show. Now bring me a manwhich.
