Obama Tells NASA: I've Considered Getting a Mohawk

The Obama-nator called NASA today to congratulate them on Curiosity's safe and awesome touchdown on Mars. 

"I understand there's a special Mohawk Guy that's working on the mission," said Obama, referring to NASA team member Bobak Ferdowski, whose mohawk became an Internet hit after it was captured on video.
"And I, in the past, thought about getting a Mohawk myself," said Obama to laughter from the NASA crew.

"But my team keeps on discouraging me. And now that he (mohawk guy) has received marriage proposals and thousands of new Twitter followers, I think that I'm going to go back to my team and see if it makes sense." 
The leader of the free world also expressed interest in life on Mars:
"If in fact you do make contact with Martians, please let me know right away," he said. "Even if they're just microbes, it will be pretty exciting."
