The FBI is planning on shutting down a series of servers that functioned as a sort of safety net for computers that were infected with the malicious software, and as a result some users may be unable to connect to the web. Up to 250,000 people worldwide may be affected.

A series of raids and retaliations over the weekend have left 58 dead in Christian villages in central Nigeria. The region has been devastated in recent years by violence pitting different ethnic groups and religions, mainly Christianity and Islam, against each other. "As a nation, we must rise against those who are determined to return us ta a state of nature where life has little or no value," Nigerian Senate President David Mark said in a statement.

Roger Federer defeated Andy Murray during the men's finals at Wimbledon on Sunday. The win, Federer's 17th career Grand Slam victory, will catapult him once again to a number one ranking. It was a heartbreaking defeat for Murray, who has lost in all four of his major final appearances so far in his career. In the women's finals, Serena Williams defeated Agnieszka Radwanska and took her fifth Wimbledon title.
