Daily Update for June 28th

1. SCOTUS Ruling On Healthcare Expected Today
The Supreme Court is expected to announce its ruling on President Obama's signature healthcare overhaul on Thursday morning. Experts don't expect the entire law to be overturned; the justices are expected to rule on several integral parts of the law. The decision will be announced at approximately 10 AM.

2. Turkey Deploys Anti-Aircraft Guns To Syrian Border
Turkey has begun deploying troops to man rocket launchers and anti-aircraft guns along its border with Syria. The move is a response to the downing of a Turkish military jet last week and comes just two days after Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan announced that Syria was a "clear and present threat" to the country and that he would treat any "military element" approaching the border as a hostile threat.

3. News Corp. Board Approves Split
News Corp.'s board unanimously approved a plan to split the media company into two pieces on Wednesday evening. The highly profitable entertainment holdings, such as Fox News, will be split from the embattled publishing business over the next year. Shares of the company have risen 11% since Tuesday when the company first confirmed it was contemplating the move.
