Adam (played by Arnold Schwarzenegger) lives in the year 2015, where cloning of human organs and animals is common, but cloning of human brains, or entire humans is banned by "the 6th day" law, named after the 6th day when God created humans. Adam owns a charter helicopter and goes there on his birthday, just like any other day. Once there, he learns that they have a big client coming in named Drucker, who owns a billion dollar company focused on cloning. Adam also learns that his family dog has died, and his wife wants him to get a re-pet, or a cloned version of their dog. Adam refuses, not liking the idea of messing with the cycle of life and death.
When Adam returns home, he notices that his dog is alive and well. Suspecting his wife has had the dog cloned, he walks up to his house, only to see a party going on inside. At that party is him, or a clone of him. He is then chased by several people pretending to be cops.
The rest of the movie revolves around Adam trying to find out why he has been cloned and stop the person responsible for it. He soon finds out that his perusers will be hard to shake. Whenever they are killed, they come back to life as a clone.
He soon comes to realize that his cloning is just a small part of a huge cover up...
This movie is awesome. It didn't do too well when it was in theaters back in 2000, but I still think it is awesome. The mystery keeps you intrigued, and there are interesting parts of the movie, such as some people being against human cloning and others supporting it. The movie is action filled and suspenseful, over all awesome.
You should watch it now. (For those of you who have Netflix, it's on there.)
