The World of eReaders

You hear a lot about eReaders these days. There are many eReaders out there and below I discus a few of the best.

AmazonKindle

The Kindle was  one of the first eReaders out there. It uses the Kindle estore and the prices are very good. I have an older version of this eReader. It is a very good eReader and it also allows you to read PDF files. I hear it is hard to get the PDF files onto the Kindle, however. The Kindle has a small apps tore, but the apps are not very cool. Most of the apps are like Scrabble.
Overall, the Kindle is very good, but there is not much you can do on it except reading.

Barnes and Noble Nook
Barnes & Noble NOOK ebook reader (WiFi + 3G)[B&W]

The Nook's book prices are about the same as on the Kindle. It has a small color touch screen at the bottom that can be used to glance through the covers of your books or to type on.The Nook has a couple of apps, but there are also not that many.

Sony eReaders

Sony Digital Reader Pocket Edition (PRS300SC) with 5" Screen - Silver

Sony eReader's prices are slightly more expensive. There are no apps at the moment. I have not used a Sony ereade, but I hear they are very good for reading and nothing else.

The Google eBookstore works on many devices, but does not have a device of its own. The prices are good and it works on the Nook, Sony devices, and several other devices.
